COMBI-MIX™ Multi-Media Water Treatment Media

COMBI-MIX™ is an advanced all-in-one filtration media blend designed to remove a wide range of drinking water contaminants in a single treatment system. Engineered for both residential and commercial water treatment applications, this proprietary blend combines multiple filtration technologies into one efficient packed-bed media.

By integrating oxidation-reduction reactions, catalytic adsorption, and ion exchange processes into a single media blend, COMBI-MIX™ simplifies system design while delivering powerful contaminant removal and improved overall water quality.

MULTI-LAYER FILTRATION TECHNOLOGY

COMBI-MIX™ integrates four treatment media working together inside a single pressure vessel:

20% AquaRedox™ – Advanced redox media that promotes oxidation-reduction reactions for the removal of organic and inorganic contaminants.

20% Catalytic Carbon – High-activity catalytic carbon designed for effective reduction of chlorine, chloramines, and organic compounds.

40% Cationix™ – High-capacity ion exchange media that removes hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium.

20% Katalox Light® – High-performance catalytic filtration media designed for the removal of iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide.

Inside the vessel, the media naturally forms a layered structure based on density. This allows each component to perform its specific treatment function while maintaining efficient water contact throughout the bed.

CONTAMINANTS REDUCED

COMBI-MIX™ is designed to treat a broad spectrum of water quality issues, including:

Hardness (CaCO₃)
Iron (Fe²⁺)
Manganese (Mn²⁺)
Hydrogen sulfide
Chlorine
Chloramines
Heavy metals
Lead
Chromium
Ammonia
PFAS
Trihalomethanes (THMs)
Microplastics
Microbial contaminants
Emerging contaminants

KEY FEATURES

Four treatment technologies combined in a single media bed, reducing the need for multiple filtration tanks.

High surface area catalytic treatment that increases contact time and improves contaminant removal efficiency.

Single-step regeneration process where all media regenerate simultaneously using approximately 80 grams of sodium chloride per liter of Cationix media.

Packed bed design that minimizes channeling, reduces backwash requirements, and improves system efficiency.

Compatible with both upflow and downflow system configurations.
